“I'll do anything to come back and compete at a high level,” said Pepito of his fight for fitness after so many knee injuries.
“I haven’t talked to Conte, I read a few of his comments about me and I'm very pleased with what he said. So I have to keep working hard and play well with Fiorentina and hopefully I'll be called up.”
There has been a sea change at Fiorentina over the last few weeks, as the club sacked Montella to bring in Paulo Sousa.
"Of course, we loved Montella for the three years he was with us, he did amazing things. Now we're happy there’s Sosa with us and we can't wait to start with him.”
