Transfer pundit Matteo Moretto says Milan will ask for Rafael Leao’s €175m release clause to be paid in full, while the Portuguese forward has already been informed about interest from PSG.

Football Italia and Football Espana transfer expert Matteo Moretto confirms Milan star Leao has been informed about PSG’s interest for the summer.

The Ligue 1 giants will likely lose Kylian Mbappé to PSG and according to Moretto, Leao has been placed at the top of their transfer shortlist to strengthen the attack in 2024-25.

Moretto told The Daily Briefing that contacts between Milan and PSG have not yet begun, but the Rossoneri will ‘not be flexible’ regarding the potential sale of their star.

It is understood that the Serie A giants will ask for Leao’s €175m release clause to be paid in full if PSG will approach them at the end of the season. On the other hand, the Ligue 1 giants will predictably try to bring the price down by opening talks with the Diavoli.

Last year, the Portuguese star signed a contract extension with Milan until 2028, which included a new €175m clause. The Rossoneri expect Leao’s clause to be paid entirely to let the 24-year-old leave in the summer.
