Sources have told Football Italia that there is no truth in reports Juventus have had negotiations with Napoli director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli.

Calciomercato.com had suggested on Thursday that the Bianconeri were eager to poach Giuntoli from their club rivals, even though his contract with the Partenopei runs to June 2024.

There is still no permanent replacement for Fabio Paratici, whose contract was not renewed when it came to a natural conclusion over the summer, and he went on to a new role at Tottenham Hotspur.

Juventus contact Napoli director Giuntoli to replace Paratici?

Federico Cherubini was promoted to the position at Juve, but a stronger figure is still being sought.

Football Italia was exclusively told by sources in Turin that Juventus are not in direct contact with Giuntoli in a bid to bring the director of sport to the Allianz Juventus Stadium.

Giuntoli has been at Napoli since 2015 and there have been rumours of late that his rapport with President Aurelio De Laurentiis became more fraught.
