Former Udinese coach Loris Dominissini has died at the age of 59 following complications from COVID-19.

Hailing from Udine, he was also a player for the Friulani, then had a brief spell on their bench as a coach in 2006.

He was most well-known for taking Como from Serie C to the top flight from 2000-02.

Dominissini had been in hospital in critical condition since mid-May.

His death was announced this evening, aged just 59.
