Former Juventus, Inter and Cagliari full back Kwadwo Asamoah has announced his retirement at the age of 33.

The Ghanaian arrived in Italy in January 2008 from Swiss side AC Bellinzona, joining Torino on loan for six months before then making the move to Udinese. After four years in Udine, Asamoah joined Juventus in a deal worth around €18m.

Asamoah spent six years in Turin, where he won six Scudetti, four Coppa Italia and three Supercoppa Italiana titles. The Ghanian made 156 appearances across all competitions for Juventus, scoring five goals and providing 20 assists, before leaving on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.

The Ghanian full back joined Inter that summer, where he spent two years and made 53 appearances before his contract expired. After a brief spell on the sidelines, he spent the final six months of his playing career with Cagliari.

Asamoah has now hung up his boots and is training to become a player agent.
