"Qatar Sports Investments announce their intention of naming Jean-Claude Blanc as the Paris St Germain chief executive," read a statement.

QSI, who control 70 per cent of the French outfit, added that Blanc's appointment should be ratified at a board meeting on October 21.

Blanc was appointed as general director at Juventus in 2006 following the Calciopoli scandal. He would later become the President.

Blanc, who was succeeded as Juve chief by Andrea Agnelli at the end of the 2009-10 campaign, remained with the Italian club until September 30 of this year in order to oversee their stadium project.
