Several former players joined the new coaching course to get their badges, including Alessandro Del Piero, Christian Vieri and Daniele De Rossi.

The course is held at the Coverciano ground and is for the UEFA B/A level.

This would allow them to work as coaches in the youth sectors, lead any women’s football teams and men’s teams up to Serie C.

They could also become assistant managers in Serie A or B, but need another course to become head coach in a Serie A or B club.

De Rossi is already working as part of Roberto Mancini's Italy staff going into Euro 2020, but not as an assistant manager.
