According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been offered to Roma, but Alvaro Morata remains José Mourinho’s primary target.

The Giallorossi are looking for a new central forward following Tammy Abraham’s knee injury in the last game of 2022-23 against Spezia.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Everton striker Calvert-Lewin has been offered to Roma director Tiago Pinto. The Giallorossi have a low transfer budget, so they’d only get the Everton striker on a free loan deal with an option to buy.

The English forward is reportedly willing to work with Mourinho at the Stadio Olimpico, but the Special One still prefers Atletico Madrid‘s Morata.

Mourinho has recently dropped a few transfer hints on social media, pushing for the club to make an investment in the Spaniard, but Roma can’t afford Atletico Madrid’s price tag. West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca is also one of Roma’s targets in attack.

Calvert-Lewin, 26, has two years left in his contract with Everton and had his best season with the Toffees in 2020-21 under Carlo Ancelotti, scoring 16 goals in 33 Premier League appearances.
