According to France Football, President Aurelio De Laurentiis is hoping to replenish the club coffers with a double deal, palming both Lozano and Allan over to Everton.

It would cost €40m for Brazilian midfielder Allan and roughly the same figure for Mexico international Lozano, who only joined from PSV Eindhoven for €38m last summer.

Lozano made 28 competitive appearances, scoring three goals with two assists, but never really found his place in the side.

Allan is under contract until June 2023, but has fallen out badly with the club hierarchy and coach Gennaro Gattuso.

He had been on the verge of a €50m move to Paris Saint-Germain last year.
