Leeds United and Italy forward Wilfried Gnonto is hot property on the transfer market, with interest from Everton, Aston Villa and Freiburg.

The Azzurri talent had a strange June, playing both for the senior Italy squad at the Nations League Final Four and for the Azzurrini at the Under-21 European Championship.

He is likely to leave Leeds after their relegation from the Premier League, but the asking price is said to be in the region of €25m.

A return to Italy seems improbable for the moment, so he could remain in England.

According to Sportitalia, Everton remain the favourites to snap up Gnonto, but they are not the only parties showing an interest.

The same source insists that Aston Villa have also made an approach, while Germany is an alternative with SC Freiburg ready to step forward.

Gnonto is still only 19 and can play in a variety of attacking roles in a trident.

He is a product of the Inter youth academy who left as a free agent to join FC Zurich in 2020, frustrated at the lack of opportunities.

They then sold him to Leeds for €4.5m in September 2022, where he went on to make 28 appearances, score four goals and provide four assists.
