Reports in Italy suggest Everton have made enquiries about Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The centre-back signed a new contract with the Partenopei in September last year, but it’s believed there is a release clause of €58m [£49m].

Chelsea pushed hard to sign Koulibaly last summer, but Il Mattino reports that the Blues have not renewed their interest for the coming transfer window.

Instead Everton have made enquiries to agent Bruno Satin about the availability of the Senegal international.
