Alberico Evani believes Italy “deserved more” from their 1-1 draw with Norway, but the Under-21 side conceded “a bizarre goal.”
The Azzurrini dominated the match in Perugia, yet wasted numerous chances and hit the woodwork twice.
They also went behind when Alex Meret mis-read a Bjordal cross that went past everyone into the far bottom corner, but substitute Luca Vido scored the equaliser with a well-placed finish.

“Early in the first half we developed good moves, but unfortunately were unable to score a goal,” interim Coach Evani told Rai Sport.
“As time wore on, we got a bit more chaotic, but still deserved to win it.
“For the second half, we stepped out there more sluggish, left Norway the initiative and then scored a bizarre goal, but I think the defeat would’ve been really too much.”
Evani was the Italy Under-20 Coach, but was promoted after Under-21 boss Gigi Di Biagio became the interim senior Italy CT.
