Federico Bernardeschi and Stefano Sturaro are set to enjoy bright futures, says Italian Under-20 boss Alberigo Evani.
The two players are teammates at Under-21 level and will face each other this weekend when Bernardeschi’s Fiorentina entertain Genoa.
“They both have important qualities,” the former Milan winger told Tuttosport. “They sill need to grow, but they can be protagonists in Serie A and the national side.
“Bernardeschi has always been good technically. He has good vision and last season on loan at Crotone was important for his growth.
“His characteristics are a good marriage to the football of Vincenzo Montella in Florence.
“Sturaro, meanwhile, has quantity and quality, he defends and constructs. He really has improved since becoming a regular for Gian Piero Gasperini.”
Bernardeschi is a dangerous attacking player, while central midfielder Sturaro was actually bought by Juventus in the summer for €5.5m but was allowed to stay on loan with the Rossoblu.
Evani worked with both players in the Italian Under-17, U-18 and U-19 set-ups.
