“I’m quite calm, because I know I’m coaching a team of great prestige,” Evani assured in his Press conference today.
“They’re all lads I’ve had in previous years, so I know what they need and I really do feel comfortable.
“There’s more prestige in the Under-21 job and I hope to exploit this opportunity as well as possible.
“I always put my passion and knowledge at the service of the lads and together we will try to play well and get results.
“I wore the Azzurri shirt as a player, so being able to represent Italy as a Coach makes me proud.
“Di Biagio? I’ve heard from him, we compare notes and we help each other.
“My debut with the Under-21s was unexpected, because if certain changes had not taken place within the Federation I probably would not have had this opportunity.
“What we have to do is work with passion and enthusiasm and help the lads to grow.”
