Jose Mourinho’s Roma have a true test of character ahead of them as they look to overcome a 1-0 deficit in their Europa League clash with RB Salzburg.

The match between the Giallorossi and die Roten Bullen kicks off at 20.00 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Roma looked off the mark in the first leg of their Europa League knockout playoffs with RB Salzburg, being incredibly wasteful in the final third. Mourinho’s side produced an expected goals of 1.76, far above the Austrian side’s 0.83, and yet they failed to find a breakthrough.

The Giallorossi cannot count on the injured Ebrima Darboe , and Tammy Abraham’s condition is also uncertain after a recent eye injury. Paulo Dybala is in doubt as well due to a muscle issue.

Things are business as usual in the Bundesliga for RB Salzburg, who sit six points clear of second place Sturm Graz in the table. The team struggled in their Champions League campaign but 1-1 draws with Milan and Chelsea will give them confidence of holding firm in the Italian capital.

RB Salzburg have a number of absences heading into the match, heading to Rome without Dijon Kameri, Bryan Okoh and Jerome Onguene.
