Stefano Pioli’s Milan only need to avoid a damning defeat to Rennes to book their spot in the Europa League knockout stages.

The match between the French side and the Rossoneri kicks off at 17.45 UK time at the Roazhon Park in Rennes.

Milan encountered no difficulties in their first meeting with Rennes last week, cruising to a 3-0 win at home after goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Rafael Leao, leaving the Ligue 1 outfit with a mountain to climb in the second leg.

The Rossoneri cannot count on Pierre Kalulu, Tommaso Pobega and Davide Calabria, all sidelined with injuries. Fikayo Tomori is also in doubt and unlikely to feature, having just returned from a lengthy hamstring issue.

Rennes have been in good form in Ligue 1 lately, winning their last six consecutive matches, and they’ll be dreaming of pulling off the impossible in front of their fans. The French outfit are without the injured Enzo Le Fee, Fabian Rieder and Mahamadou Nagida.

Probable line-ups for Rennes vs Milan

Rennes (4-4-2): Mandanda; Doue, Wooh, Theate, Truffert; Bourigeaud, Matusiwa, Santamaria, Gouiri; Terrier, Kalimuendo.

Milan (4-3-3): Maignan; Florenzi, Gabbia, Kjaer, Theo Hernandez; Reijnders, Adli, Musah; Pulisic, Jovic, Leao.
