The Giallorossi have had mixed results since Ivan Juric took over from sacked Daniele De Rossi, held 1-1 by Athletic Club in the Europa League, but earning back-to-back Serie A victories over Udinese and Venezia.
Enzo Le Fee and Alexis Saelemaekers are still out of action, with Paulo Dybala carrying a muscular issue, Artem Dovbyk and Gianluca Mancini rested.
Saud Abdulhamid is given his first start on the left wing, supporting Soulé, Baldanzi and Eldor Shomurodov.
Elfsborg started their Europa League campaign with a dramatic 3-2 defeat away to AZ Alkmaar, which had been 2-2 until a late penalty.
Defender Sebastian Holmen was sent off and is therefore suspended.
