Atalanta look to Luis Muriel and Ruslan Malinovskyi, but Bayer Leverkusen miss Patrik Schick and rely on their young talents upfront in the Europa League Round of 16.

The first leg kicks off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo at 20.00 GMT.

Europa Liveblog: Vitesse-Roma and Atalanta-Bayer Leverkusen

As with all UEFA competitions this season, the away goals rule has been scrapped.

Atalanta’s form has been decidedly up and down in recent weeks, as they struggled to deal with a massive injury crisis.

That is easing now, with only Duvan Zapata and Josip Ilicic still out of action, so Muriel and Malinovskyi return to start upfront, with Teun Koopmeiners in support.

Rafael Toloi is back too, having been suspended in Serie A against Roma.

Marten de Roon, Merih Demiral and Mario Pasalic will be suspended for the second leg if they pick up a yellow card tonight.

Bayer Leverkusen are without top scorer Schick, formerly of Sampdoria and Roma, due to a muscular problem.

Kerem Demirbay is suspended, with Karim Bellarabi, Robert Andrich and Andrey Lunev also unavailable.

The Bundesliga side have some exciting young talents to rely on, none more so than Florian Wirtz, Moussa Diaby and Amine Adli.

Exequiel Palacios and Charles Aranguiz step into the midfield, while Iran international centre-forward Sardar Azmoun is on the bench, as Argentine Lucas Alario is preferred.

Leverkusen are fresh off a 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich and won five of their last seven games.

Atalanta: Musso; Toloi, Demiral, Djimsiti; Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler, Zappacosta; Koopmeiners; Malinovskyi, Muriel

Bayer Leverkusen: Hradecky; Frimpong, Tah, Tapsoba, Bakker; Aranguiz, Palacios; Diaby, Wirtz, Adli; Alario
