Angel Di Maria will start in the Juventus attack against SC Freiburg tonight, but one of the doubts of Massimiliano Allegri concerns Federico Chiesa.

It kicks off at 20.00 GMT. It’s the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

Arek Milik, Kaio Jorge and Mattia De Sciglio are not available. Paul Pogba is in doubt after training separately from his teammates on Wednesday.

Allegri could rotate a little in defence with either Daniele Rugani or Alex Sandro starting at the back.

Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli are expected to start in central midfield. They could be joined by Nicolò Fagioli who, however, may remain on the bench with Federico Chiesa starting on the right wing in a 3-4-3 formation.

Dusan Vlahovic is favourite over Moise Kean in attack and his compatriot Filip Kostic will get the nod on the left wing.

Vlahovic scored his last two European goals for Juventus in Turin, against Maccabi Haifa and Nantes, while Di Maria has contributed to six goals in five European games with the Bianconeri.

Italy international Vincenzo Grifo will start up front for the Germans.

Juventu-Freiburg: probable line-ups

Juventus (3-5-1-1): Szczesny; Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Di Maria; Vlahovic.

Freiburg (5-3-2): Flekken; Sildillia, Kubler, Ginter, Lienhardt, Gunter; Eggestein, Hofler; Doan, Holer, Grifo.
