Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri faces a selection crisis in defence, but Dusan Vlahovic will start in attack against Freiburg in the second leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

It kicks off at 17.45 GMT on Thursday.

The Bianconeri won the first leg in Turin 1-0 last week, but have travelled to Germany without the injured Arek Milik, Leonardo Bonucci, Alex Sandro and Paul Pogba.

Federico Gatti is favourite over Mattia De Sciglio to start in a three-man defence, while the other doubt concerns the attack with either Fabio Miretti or Moise Kean starting alongside Vlahovic.

Federico Chiesa and Angel Di Maria are available after missing last week’s Serie A clash against Sampdoria, but both start on the bench. El Fideo trained separately on Wednesday.

Italy international Vincenzo Grifo starts for Freiburg and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is the only unavailable player for the Germans.

Juventus have lost only one of the last nine games against German clubs in European competitions and they qualified for the following round in Europe the last nine times they won the first leg.

Update: Fabio Miretti is dealing with a minor muscle problem, so Kean will start in attack (read more).
