UEFA will carry out the Europa League Round of 16 draw today, letting Roma, Milan and Atalanta know who they’ll be facing next in the knockout stages.
The draw for the two European competitions will take place today in Nyon at 11.00 UK time, starting with the Europa League before moving onto the Conference League.
Milan booked their spot in the Europa League knockout stages after a 5-3 aggregate win over Rennes, whilst Roma edged out victory over Feyenoord with a penalty shootout. Atalanta topped their group and so managed to avoid the knockout play-offs.
Italy is the only country to still have all their participating teams taking part in the European club competitions, with all seven still competing internationally.
The rules of today’s draw are simple – the eight Europa League group winners will be drawn against the knockout play-off winners, and clubs from the same country cannot be drawn together. The group winners play the first leg away and the return leg at home.
Who Atalanta could draw: Benfica, Olympique Marseille, Sporting CP, Freiburg, Sparta Prague, Qarabag.
Who Milan could draw: Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton, West Ham, Villarreal, Slavia Prague, Rangers.
Who Roma could draw: Liverpool, Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton, West Ham, Villarreal, Slavia Prague, Rangers.
