Italy take on Portugal in the quarter-finals of the U21 European Championship, follow the game live.

It kicks off at 20.00 UK time.

Portugal won all three games in Group D and beat Italy the last time they played a quarter-final in 1996, although that was over two legs.

“I want the team to be courageous. We’ve got a few problems up front, but must have the determination to stay in the game and keep going,” Italy coach Paolo Nicolato said at a press conference on Sunday.

Riccardo Scamacca and Giacomo Raspadori start for the Azzurri up front, but there’s a bit of Italy in the Portuguese line-up too, as Monza striker Dany Mota gets the nod for the Lusitanos, while Milan’s Rafael Leao starts on the bench.

Diogo Dalot starts at the back for Portugal. He is contracted with Manchester United, but played the last season on loan at Milan.

Sandro Tonali, Gianluca Frabotta and Riccardo Marchizza are suspended for the Azzurrini.

Line-ups:

Portugal: Diogo Costa; Dalot, Diogo Queiros, Diogo Leite, Tomas Tavares; Gedson Fernandes, Daniel Bragança, Vitinha; Fabio Vieira; Gonçalo Ramos, Dany Mota.

Italy: Carnesecchi; Lovato, Del Prato, Ranieri; Bellanova, Frattesi, Rovella, Pobega, Sala; Raspadori, Scamacca.
