Italy are ready to battle it out with Spain in the Under-19 European Championship semi-final, fighting for a chance at glory.

The match between the Azzurrini and la Roja kicks off at 14.00 UK time at Windsor Park in Belfast.

Italy and Spain met at senior level at the recent European Championship in Germany, where the eventual victors secured a 1-0 win over Luciano Spalletti’s side following a Riccardo Calafiori own goal.

In the U19 tournament, Italy topped their group after wins over Norway and Northern Ireland, only losing to Ukraine. Spain finished second in their group, beating Denmark and drawing Turkey and France.

The other semi-final match sees Ukraine take on France for a spot in the final, which is scheduled for July 28th at 19.00 UK time.

  1. We can beat these guys,let’s make a statement at this level that Italy youth is still alive and well despite the shortcomings of the senior side.
