Serie A players took centre stage in Slovakia’s 2-1 win against Poland with Karol Linetty and Milan Skriniar on the scoresheet and a Wojciech Szczęsny own goal.

It was the opening game of Group E at Euro 2020. Poland are the team with the most Serie A players after Italy. They have nine of them and five started for Paulo Sousa’s side at the Saint Petersburg Stadium.

Former Napoli captain Marek Hamsik started for Slovakia with Inter‘s Milan Skriniar, Sassuolo‘s Lukas Haraslin and Parma’s Juraj Kucka.
