The game kicks off at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT) at the Stadio Olimpico, which will have 16,000 spectators for the first time since March 2020.

They are in Group A along with Switzerland and Wales, although the Azzurri’s group games will all be in Rome.

Roberto Mancini’s Italy are unbeaten in 27 games, stretching back to September 2018, and go into this tournament on eight consecutive victories, in which they kept clean sheets and scored 25 goals.

Italy have played Turkey only five times before, including a 2-1 Azzurri victory in the Euro 2000 group stage, funnily enough also played on June 11.

That was along with three wins and a 0-0 draw.
