Italy have arrived in Rome from Florence and Roberto Mancini and Giorgio Chiellini will hold a press conference later today ahead of the Azzurri’s Euro 2020 debut.

Italy host the opening game of the European Championships in Rome tomorrow against Turkey.

The Azzurri left Coverciano in the morning and arrived at Rome’s Stazione Termini at around 11.25 am UK time.

Lorenzo Pellegrini was part of the travelling squad, but the Roma midfielder will miss Euro 2020 due to a muscle injury. The FIGC have already submitted a request to replace the 24-year-old with Fiorentina‘s Gaetano Castrovilli.

Pellegrini was visibly sad and disappointed upon his arrival in the capital, reports Sky Sport Italia.

The Azzurri have then moved to the Hotel Parco dei Principi, where they will have lunch before resting for a little while.

They will then travel to the Stadio Olimpico where Roberto Mancini and Giorgio Chiellini will hold a pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s game against Turkey.

Mancini will conduct the final training session at the Stadio Olimpico today before the beginning of the tournament.
