Italy returned to Coverciano this morning and will train behind closed doors before a traditional barbecue whilst watching England vs. Denmark.

The Azzurri returned to Florence after the win on penalties against Spain on Tuesday and the men who played in the semi-final have been given a day to rest and rehabilitate.

The others are scheduled to train at 17.30 UK time behind closed doors at Coverciano. In the evening the Italy players will gather for a traditional barbecue to watch the other semi-final between England and Denmark.

Tomorrow, some players might meet the press, as the preparations for the big game on Sunday continues.

Sunday is still some days away, but the Italians are already thinking about how to organise the last chapter of UEFA Euro 2020.

The mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi has launched a proposal on Twitter, wanting to project EURO 2020 Final at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital, but with a reduced capacity in compliance with the anti-COVID measures.

“We have already hosted the Azzurri’s first three games. It would be a great way to cheer on the national team together,” she wrote on Twitter.
