Sampdoria winger Mikkel Damsgaard gave Denmark the lead from a great free-kick, before Milan defender Simon Kjaer’s own goal helped England draw level.

The young winger has been one of the standout performers of this Denmark side, who are fighting for a place in the Final against Italy on Sunday.

Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero has stressed Damsgaard is not for sale and his value increased even more after his effort in the first half against the English.

The youngster showed great technique when he curled the ball over the wall and under the bar to have Jordan Pickford beaten in the England goal.

England pushed for the equaliser and eventually found the net through the Rossoneri defender, Kjaer, who tried to prevent Raheem Sterling from scoring on a low cross by Bukayo Saka.

Denmark’s captain couldn’t stop the ball from going in and registered yet another own goal in an abnormal EURO 2020.
