Leonardo Spinazzola has put down another decisive performance for Italy tonight, but was stretchered off after 79 minutes with a thigh injury.

The Roma full-back manged to stop Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku from equalising and the Italy defenders react as if he scored the winner.

The Azzurri are winning 2-1 over Belgium in the quarter-finals after the defender stopped Lukaku with an incredible interception as the last man on the far post.

Spinazzola was stretchered off in tears after suffering a muscle injury towards the end of the second half, probably meaning he will not be able to continue if the Azzurri advance to the next round.

He had been a threat going forward for Italy this summer and an insurance at the back, but his many muscular injuries came back to haunt him in Munich.

It has been a pleasure to follow Spinazzola in the European Championship and if Italy overcome Belgium tonight, he will certainly have made an impact yet again.
