According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, the 33-year-old is being offered a contract to play for the club for the next 30 months – two-and-a-half seasons.
It is understood that Eto’o’s contract then includes within it the opportunity for the player to take on a potential role as a club director.
Di Marzio’s site also reiterates that the forward is expected to land in Italy on Sunday evening ahead of undergoing medical tests with Sampdoria the next day.
