This past May, Sven-Goran Eriksson visited two of his former Serie A clubs, Sampdoria and Lazio, reuniting with some of his former players, including ex-Italy coach Roberto Mancini.

Former Serie A coach Eriksson has died aged 76.

This past January he said that “at best” he had a year to leave after a cancer diagnosis.

During his career, the ex-Swedish tactician coached Fiorentina, Lazio, Sampdoria, and Roma and was one of the most influential coaches in the league’s history.

This past May, he visited Sampdoria at the Stadio Ferraris and Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico, where he received standing ovations from his former fans.

During his visits to Genoa and Rome, he reunited with some of his former players, including Mancini, who had played 306 games under Eriksson, scoring 90 goals for Lazio and Samp.
