Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen felt his goal against Crotone gave the Nerazzurri the ‘certainty of being really close’ to the Scudetto.

The Denmark international has played 25 Serie A games this term and has only contributed two goals in the process.

But one of them came in the 2-0 win over Crotone on May 1 and the former Tottenham Hotspur player could watch Atalanta drop points the day after to hand Inter their first Scudetto since 2009-10.

And Eriksen has no doubt, he feels his goal against Crotone was the moment that gave Antonio Conte’s men the certainty of having their hands on title this year.

“Both on a personal level and for the team, I say Crotone,” Eriksen told the Matchday Programme. “It was a very important goal that gave us the certainty of being really close to winning the title!”
