The Denmark international has struggled for playing time at San Siro since his January move from Tottenham Hotspur, as even when Conte has used a trequartista in his tactics, he’s favoured Nicolò Barella for that role instead.

Multiple Italian sources are confident Eriksen will leave during the January transfer window, with PSG real contenders, although a Premier League return for Manchester United, Arsenal or even Chelsea is on the cards, claims the Corriere dello Sport.

“We are good friends and speak every week,” Milan defender Kjaer told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“His situation reminds me of what I was dealing with at Atalanta, as sometimes the ideas and methods of a coach suit you perfectly, at times they don’t. I know he won’t give in.”

However, former Juventus and Italy midfielder Tacchinardi takes a different view of Eriksen’s lack of progress.

“I can’t agree with him right now, because when he does step onto the field, he doesn’t show any desire to make an impact,” Tacchinardi told TMW Radio.

“Eriksen is damaging his own prospects by doing that. He played well at Tottenham because he had these quick wingers, but he’s not suited to Conte’s 3-5-2.

“If he goes to Milan or Napoli, who have those same tactical ideas, then he could in theory do well, but not at Inter.”
