According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Christian Eriksen and his agent will meet Inter directors today to terminate the midfielder’s contract with the Nerazzurri.

Eriksen has returned to Milan from Denmark but, as expected, doctors didn’t give him the green light to continue playing in Serie A.

The Dane is not allowed to train or play in Italy with a heart starter implanted as any contact, or hit could break the device.

Eriksen has been training with his former club Odense over the last few weeks and returned to Milan to undergo medical examinations but didn’t hope to receive the green light from medics.

Former Inter midfielder Khalilou Fadiga was diagnosed with heart disease upon his arrival to Inter in 2002 and never played in a Nerazzurri shirt, but continued his career in the Premier League.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Eriksen could terminate his contract with the Nerazzurri today and continue his playing career in his native country. The Premier League and the Eredivisie are also potential options for the 29-year-old.

It remains to be seen if one meeting will be enough or if the player’s agent and Inter need another summit to fix all the details and finalise Eriksen’s contract rescission.

  1. I`ve never seen anything regarding the prejudice terminating his contract would cause to the club. Who is taking the loss?

Inter have payed €27m for Eriksen with 6 months remaining on his contract.

    What happens to the accounts/books?

Is insurance covering anything besides his current wage?

Any so-called journalist able to investigate and share this information? Or you guys are just translating whatever others are writing?

These are the real questions, how will the club be afffected economically speaking. Because sporting wise, it seems Marotta did a wonderful job bringing in Hakan for free.

  2. I MISS JUVENTUS IN SERIE B 🤡, Inter has insurances that will cover the loss as well as a insurance from UEFA, that’s what’ve read on twitter so no worries on that front as far as I know, plus that Hakan has been brilliant lately, lets keep this ship going and bring some reinforcements in January to get a better bench, thank you Chris for everything, club legend.

  3. 27 million transfer fee, 4,5 year contract=6 million a year in ammortization. Tottenham will get their money, but Inter will problably be allowed to only count for amortization until his contract termination, meaning in Inters books the transfer fee wlll be 6 million* 1,5=9 million.

Insurance will problably cover the rest, 18 million, or if not, Inter will have to pay but without it counting against them in tne books. The money saved on his wages for the 3 remaining years on his contract make up for that tho.
