Virtus Entella confirm “on Sunday we’ll take the pitch against Pisa” but they’ll “continue our battle” to be re-admitted to Serie B.
The second division has controversially been reduced to 19 teams after Avellino, Bari and Cesena couldn’t register, and Entella are one of the sides claiming they should be readmitted.
This week the FIGC ruled that they should resume playing in Serie C, but it appears the legal wrangling isn’t over.

This week the FIGC ruled that they should resume playing in Serie C, but it appears the legal wrangling isn’t over.
“On Sunday we’ll take the pitch against Pisa, because Serie C requires us to play, while emphasising that playing the game does not compromise any possible readmission to the tournament in which we deserve to play,” a statement on the club’s website reads.
“Entella will certainly continue our battle. We’re victims of a great injustice, we are entitled to stay in Serie B, after the the sentence from CONI’s Collegio di Garanzia, that is the sporting Supreme Court, which said that Entella must be readmitted.
“That was an executive ruling dated September 19 that was never complied with, a very serious fact which does great damage to our club.
“From today, however, all Entella, from the team to the technical staff, from the directors to the fans must enter ‘match mode’.
“We need to challenge our rage into positive energy and get down to the pitch to support Mr. Boscaglia and the lads who have lived these months with commendable professionalism and moral strength.
“I ask our fans to fill the Comunale, to show that Entella knows how to react on the pitch.”
