As expected, Virtus Entella lost their appeal to the TAR tribunal, won’t be allowed into Serie B and have to catch up nine Serie C games.

The club had sued to be returned to Serie B following their relegation, claiming they were next in line for promotion after the bankruptcy of Avellino, Bari and Cesena.

Instead, the Lega Serie B simply reduced the division from 22 to 19 teams and didn’t replace the bankrupt outfits.

Following months of various appeals and legal actions to and fro, the final word came from the TAR tribunal.
