England manager Gareth Southgate is at the Dacia Arena this evening to watch Tammy Abraham and Chris Smalling play for Roma against Udinese in Serie A.

The tactician was seen taking selfies with fans in the stands before kick-off in Udine.

Both striker Abraham and defender Smalling were in the starting XI for Jose Mourinho’s Roma, who went into the weekend as joint Serie A leaders with Atalanta.

Abraham has three goals in 11 senior caps for England, but is expecting more in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as his form since joining Roma from Chelsea has been extraordinary.

As well as winning the Europa Conference League, Abraham scored 28 goals with seven assists in 57 competitive matches for the Giallorossi.

Smalling will turn 33 during the World Cup in November and has 31 senior caps for England, but his chances of getting into the squad are growing significantly after Harry Maguire was dropped for Manchester United.
