Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has revealed that he would ‘gladly’ sell midfielder Ismael Bennacer to Napoli.
Having only lost to a Moise Kean goal against Juventus last weekend, Empoli followed up with a 2-1 victory over Napoli on Wednesday, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.
“We had a great game, it’s not the first time that we have against a big team,” Corsi told TuttoNapoli.net.
“Perhaps we also had a bit of luck compared to other times, but the victory was fully deserved. I think we surprised Ancelotti’s team with our determination.
“Perhaps after the win at Roma they were a bit relaxed and I also think that the demands of playing every three days are beginning to make thmselves felt.
“Those who have more hunger, like us who have to save ourselves, handle them better.”
The patron was then asked about Bennacer, who is of interest to the Partenopei, Roma and Inter…
“He has the quality to play for Napoli, Roma or Inter,” he added.
“He has great technique, but he’s also the player who wins back the most balls in Italy.
“He’s a complete player, who still has room for growth. I have a wonderful relationship with De Laurentiis and Giuntoli and I’d gladly give him to them, but to date they’ve expressed only interest, nothing more.”
