Empoli Coach Marco Giampaolo says his team 'are working' on their weaknesses, and promises Genoa they'll face 'a team's winning DNA'.

The mid-table clash between the two teams will take place on Saturday at 14:00 UK time, and the Gialloblu will have to pick themselves up after a 3-1 collapse to Roma.

“We come to this game after the usual working week,” Giampaolo told the Press. “With the lads we analysed the game against Roma and we start again with some certainties and beliefs.

“Tomorrow evening's game is going to be tough and we'll have to play at 100 per cent to take home a few points. It's fundamental to do that.

“Winning halfway isn't in our DNA. We only want to legitimise our victories through our playing style.

“Currently one of our weaknesses is represented by dead-ball situations against us, but we're working on that too.

“Genoa are the child of their Coach [Gian Piero Gasperini]. He has that type of philosophy, aggressive and physical, attacking with many players and often going for one-on-ones.

“They're an unpredictable team that you cannot decipher clearly, but I'm worried about Empoli more than I am about Genoa.

“What matters is ourselves. My objective is to play games always at the same level. I go after content.

“Against Roma we didn't gather fruit, but the backbone of our game was solid.

“My objective is to replicate the performance, but change the result.

“In a championship there are five or six moments that are very important.

“Tomorrow's could be a game that would allow us to go with the wind in our sails, or else leave us there to stagnate.

“I'm not worried about the calendar though. You've got to play all of the games anyway.

“I'm concerned with playing good games, starting with the one tomorrow.”
