According to Sky Sport Italia, Empoli boss Beppe Iachini has personally requested Sorrentino, whom he coached at Palermo between 2013 and 2016.
The 39-year-old has started 18 of Chievo’s 19 Serie A games so far this season and kept four clean sheets in their last eight matches.
As for Antonelli, the broadcaster claims Bologna are trying to close a deal for Antonelli and the ‘white smoke’ is close.
