Juventus are preparing to send Filippo Ranocchia out on loan and Empoli are closing in on an agreement, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The 22-year-old Italian midfielder spent last season on loan with Monza, where he showed some positive signs despite his limited playing time. He scored one goal in 14 Serie A appearances, seeing just 525 minutes of action in the league.
Juventus consider it too early to promote Ranocchia to Massimiliano Allegri’s first team, so the club have been looking around for a new home for the 22-year-old, keen for him to continue his development.
As reported by Di Marzio, Ranocchia has chosen to accept Empoli’s offer, so the Tuscan side are now discussing the terms of a loan deal with Juventus.
Both parties are confident that a deal can be finalised in the coming days, allowing the 22-year-old to start integrating into the Empoli squad ahead of the coming campaign.
