La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has prioritised a move to Milan despite offers from other clubs.
Milan are in advanced talks with Tottenham for Brazilian defender Emerson Royal, and multiple sources in Italy claim the Rossoneri hope to finalise a deal for €15m-18m.
Emerson Royal has practically agreed on personal terms with Milan and according to Gazzetta, a move to San Siro is a ‘priority’ for the Brazilian despite offers from other clubs.
Emerson Royal: Tottenham defender prioritises Milan transfer
Emerson would challenge Davide Calabria for a starting spot at Milan next season and has seen several players thrive at the Stadio Meazza after moving from the Premier League. Among them are ex-Chelsea players Christian Pulisic, Fikayo Tomori and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Emerson wants more playing time because he is eager to return to the Brazil national team, so a move to one of the top European clubs would suit him.
The 25-year-old isn’t Milan’s only target for the right-back position, but the Diavoli have been in talks with Tottenham for several weeks, so they hope to reach an agreement soon to give new coach Paulo Fonseca his first summer signing.
