Milan are on the hunt for a new right back and one of the names on their shortlist is Tottenham’s Emerson Royal.
The Rossoneri have mostly relied on captain Davide Calabria on the right side of their backline, but the 27-year-old has a little over a year left on his contract and hasn’t agreed a new deal yet. Filippo Terracciano arrived in January but has hardly featured, failing to convince Stefano Pioli.
In the meantime, Milan are preparing to welcome new head coach Paulo Fonseca, who will soon take part in the club’s summer transfer market planning. Over the last few months, one player they’ve considered is Totteham’s Emerson Royal.
Emerson Royal interest
Transfer market pundit Matteo Moretto provided an update on Milan’s interest in Emerson Royal via Caught Offside.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has been identified as an option and is on the club’s shortlist, as is Lille’s Tiago Santos, who would come slightly cheaper than the €15-20m valued Spurs right back. No final decision has been made yet but both are considered potential candidates by the Rossoneri.
