Emerson Palmieri admits he ‘misses Serie A’ and would welcome a return, so Inter and Juventus go head-to-head for the Chelsea left-back.

The 26-year-old is currently on international duty with Italy and spoke at a press conference.

“I have received some interest, not just from Italy and nothing concrete yet, but clearly I do miss Serie A and would like to return,” said the Brazil-born defender.

“I don’t know if it’ll happen in January or in five years. Things change so quickly in football.”

According to newspaper Tuttosport, there will be a mid-season battle between Inter and Juventus to acquire Emerson’s services.

Chelsea paid €20m to purchase him from Roma in January 2018, but he has made only four competitive appearances for the club this season and none of them were in the Premier League.
