Fenerbahce midfielder Eljif Elmas has arrived for his Napoli medical as his agent confirms Carlo Ancelotti played a ‘crucial’ role in his move.
Fener announced on Monday night that Elmas was on his way to Napoli, and the 19-year-old checked into Villa Stuart clinic in Rome the following morning for tests.
“Negotiations were exhausting, so congratulations to Napoli because other top European clubs wanted him,” agent George Gardi told Corriere dello Sport.
“In that sense, the presence of Ancelotti was crucial.”
