John Elkann has spoken of his hope for Juventus to continue winning  trophies under Massimiliano Allegri at an event held at the club’s headquarters on Monday. 

Elkann and Allegri, alongside President Massimo Ferrero and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli were present at the opening of the new trophy room at the club’s museum on Monday. 

Elkann, the CEO of Exor, who hold a controlling stake in Juventus, gave a speech at the event, during which he discussed Juve’s proud history when it comes to trophies, and the hope for Allegri to add more to the collection in the coming seasons. 

“We have 83 trophies here, 82 that were won with my family. There is a great past here, but also a great present and a great future,” Elkann said to those at the reception in Turin. 

He continued: “Our coach has contributed to many successes, which we hope will continue.”

Elkann went on to discuss his plans for the future, his hope to enjoy the success alongside supporters, as well as Juventus being the rock upon which the national team can build their future success.

“We have always felt a sense of responsibility towards the fans, the commitment on our part has always been there, and that will always be the case. The hope is to share all the positive aspects together, while also helping the entire country to grow. 

“Juventus has always been the backbone of our national team, Spalletti values ​​our work and also that of our NextGen team. On Saturday we won the derby and I saw great enthusiasm at the Stadium. I’m really happy about it and now let’s prepare for the future.”
