Lapo Elkann has asked his friend Cristiano Ronaldo for one favour now he has joined Manchester United. ‘Don’t score against Juventus!’
Elkann is the cousin of Juve President Andrea Agnelli and one of the heirs to the family, but does not have any specific roles at the club.
“Ronaldo is a friend, I retain affection and respect for him and there’s certainly some regret at seeing him leave, but the truth of the matter is that our friendship remains unchanged,” Elkann told Sky Sport Italia.
“I can say he’s a great person, a generous man and had a really difficult life growing up. He remains the King of football.
“I send him a big hug and hope he does well for Manchester United, but I ask him just one thing: don’t score against Juventus!”
Both teams are in the Champions League, but in different groups, as Ronaldo and Manchester United will take on Atalanta in their next UEFA fixtures.
The Bianconeri beat Chelsea 1-0 in the Champions League last week before earning another slender victory in the Derby della Mole against Torino.

Ronaldo’s team will not only not get out of their group, but I also have serious doubt that they can come third ahead of Young Boys. They might not even play in Europa. Also, Elkann needs to be bold in his stance. When a player tells you that he wants to leave days before the transfer window shuts, the last thing he should get is ‘respect’.
