“It’s definitely a very important game, because we’ll be in the European Championships with a win,” El Shaarawy told journalists in a Press conference at Coverciano.

“Because of that, we can’t underestimate our opponents. We’re training well, and we’ll have to go onto the pitch with the maximum commitment.”

El Shaarawy left Milan to join Monaco this summer, and admits his form in Ligue 1 has helped him with the Azzurri.

“I can feel Conte’s confidence in me, I’m happy with my last game for the Azzurri. I had some issues at first at Monaco, but now I’m playing with consistency.”
