Stephan El Shaarawy has no interest in leaving Milan next January despite his lack of playing time, his agent has stated.

The 19-year-old Italian joined the Rossoneri from Genoa in the summer, but he’s only played in 178 minutes of Serie A football for his new club so far.

“The stories of him moving away on loan in the New Year are just journalistic voices,” representative Roberto La Florio told Diretta Stadio.

“Milan have never told me that they have this desire.

“It’s obviously very pleasing that there are certain clubs who are interested in the boy even though he hasn’t played a lot over these past few months.

“But he’s acquired some personality and experience during this time as he is training alongside certain players.

“It’s clear that youngsters have to play, but I repeat that Milan have not told me that they want to loan him out.

“I’ve also spoken to the boy and he’d prefer to stay because he is well aware of what he has learnt in these months.”

El Shaarawy, currently in the Italian Under-21 squad, is an attacking midfielder who has an Italian mother and an Egyptian father.
