Roma winger Stephan El Shaarawy is reportedly being investigated for having beaten a thief who was caught trying to steal his Lamborghini.

The Giallorossi forward was visiting Alessio Cerci’s home on February 12 and the two were playing video games when El Shaarawy saw the thief.

Corriere della Sera reports a 30-year-old Chilean man broke a window and tried to get into his car when El Shaarawy left the mansion and chased him down the street, pinning him to the ground and calling for the police to arrive.

The thief was sentenced for one year and four months in May but has reportedly filed a complaint for injuries against El Shaarawy.

His lawyer said the interrogation of El Shaaray will be scheduled for the end of July.

“The accused is a person who was stealing his car, he can say anything, but everything must be ascertained,” El Shaarawy’s lawyer said.

“Stephan will tell what happened when the interrogation is scheduled, which will certainly take place by the end of July.”
